About the artist
Thomas has been an Art Director, Graphic Designer and artist in Indianapolis for more than 40 years. He has a degree from Herron School of Art of Indiana University. He worked at various design studios and advertising agencies and recently retired. Thomas has been concentrating on fine art painting and other art projects for the last few years.
"I am fascinated by light and shadow. I aim to convey that sensibility as they are unfolding into forms and shapes within the composition. There is also a passage of time and space that moves across the piece."
Thomas has placed in "The Great Outdoor Painting Contest" at the T.C. Steele Historic Site in Nashville, Indiana. He also showed a painting at The Herron Alumni Show 2011 and sold a painting of the Downtown Canal at the Creation Cafe. Thomas has shown three pieces in "Indy Artists Define Indy" show at Dean Johnson Gallery. He has been accepted in shows at The Meridian Street Gallery.
